Yes. You MUST have a recognised certification in Manual Lymph Drainage with a minimum of three days of hands-on training.

If you hold a Brazilian Body Sculpting or Brazilian Lymphatic Massage training, you will need to attend the five-day Manual Lymphatic Therapy conversion course.

Online or one to two-day lymphatic massage courses will not be accepted. While I don't discriminate on the training, the content in this training is advanced and clinical so for you to easily move into doing this training, you will be required to complete the five-day Manual Lymphatic Therapy workshop before moving on to this advanced course.

It is important to me that anyone working with this patient population starts with excellent basic skills before progressing.

We start class at 09.00 each day. We aim to finish class between 17.00 and 18.00

I like to keep numbers low in my classes so that every student attending has an opportunity for some one-on-one time with me. Ten is our maximum in the U.K. We may increase the number in the U.S. depending upon demand.

You must be comfortable because you will be undressing and dressing for treatment trades. However, please don't wear tracksuits or any revealing clothing. Work uniform is perfect as long as it isn't covered in logos. If you are attending the workshop in the U.K., we are in a professional, working plastic surgery clinic so smart but comfortable clothing is required, especially on the days when we have plastic surgery demo clients.

There is a huge misconception around accreditation in the UK. Almost any course can become accredited by some awarding body or another. However, the most important thing is whether you can obtain insurance to practice the skills you have learned during your training. This training is approved by the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) in the United Kingdom. The FHT are THE leading membership body in the UK for massage and bodywork therapists. So, once you have completed this training, you can become a member of FHT and to provide 'advanced MLD' with any of the leading insurance companies in the UK.
